Just across the river and one stop subway stop away, Williamsburg is one of the city’s trendiest and most sought-after neighborhoods. The history of Williamsburg stretches back to the 17th century and includes Native Americans, industrial shipbuilding, and financial powerbrokers that rivalled Wall Street. Today, it is marked by low-rise walk-ups and warehouses that have been transformed into modern homes and entertainment loft dwellings.

Situated at the center of this continually evolving residential zone is 510 Driggs. Dozens of chic restaurants, bars, cafes, boutiques, and galleries are clustered along Berry Street and Wythe, Bedford, and Driggs Avenues. A few blocks away, the expansive McCarren Park has tennis courts, baseball fields, walking paths, soccer fields, a track, a public pool, and a skate park. It also hosts a weekly greenmarket where locals can peruse farm-fresh produce other ingredients. Other greenspaces include the riverside Bushwick Inlet Park and Marsha P. Johnson State Park, the latter of which has been host to Brooklyn’s acclaimed Smorgasburg food festival.

The L and G subway lines and numerous local buses service the area, and the NYC Ferry is a convenient and scenic option with a riverside stop nearby.
